This voluntary quantitative study dives into the impact of the JOBJACK platform on job seekers. With a sample size of 283 job seekers, this study provides valuable insights into how JOBJACK drives efficiency for businesses while meaningfully improving the lives of job seekers across the country.
JOBJACK is offering a unique platform for underserved job seekers in South Africa.
Two-third of job seekers were unemployed before finding a job through JOBJACK, and nearly 3 in 4 job seekers are accessing an employment service like JOBJACK for the first time. More than 4 in 5 report not having a good alternative to JOBJACK. Those who report an alternative name platforms like Indeed, LinkedIn and SA Youth as their top options.
Overall, a third of job seekers found a role in less than six months, further highlighting the platform’s effectiveness in securing a job with a quick turnaround time.
Job seekers find the roles they are placed in to be of high quality, and a majority continue in the same companies.
More than 3 in 4 job seekers "strongly agree" that they have learned skills for their future career growth. 41% say the same about having opportunities for advancement in their role. Additionally, over half find their pay to be either "fair" or "very fair".
