Kwa-Pele Foods (KPF), a KFC franchise operating more than 60 restaurants across South Africa, had already transformed its recruitment process with JOBJACK.

Despite significant improvements in hiring speed and administration, recruiters still found themselves revisiting sourcing, screening, and shortlisting whenever new vacancies opened.

This meant spending time identifying suitable candidates for roles that often had to be filled quickly.

In September 2024, KPF activated JOBJACK's Waitlist feature.

Waitlist allows recruiters to save promising candidates from their interview rounds who demonstrated strong role FIT.

When a new position becomes available, recruiters can immediately revisit these pre-qualified waitlisted candidates rather than restarting the hiring process from scratch.

This gives businesses access to an always-on talent pool of candidates who have already been assessed, screened, and considered.

By hiring directly from their Waitlist, Kwa-Pele Foods reduced time to fill roles to just 1.8 days10 times faster than their previous average of 22 days.

More than a quarter of all vacancies (28%) were filled using waitlisted candidates, significantly reducing the effort required to source and screen new applicants.

In addition to the time already saved through JOBJACK, the Waitlist feature eliminated a further 76 hours of recruiting administration, allowing the team to respond quickly to staffing needs without increasing workload.
