Your best team member has been on the floor for three years. She knows the systems, the regulars and which shift falls apart without her. A supervisor role opens up. How does she find out?
In a lot of businesses, the answer is a WhatsApp group, an email to a few managers or a word in the right ear. Some people hear in time, some don’t. JOBJACK's Internal Jobs fixes that.
How Internal Jobs work
You post a role specifically labelled as an Internal Job that goes to a separate job board to be shared with your internal employees.
When an employee applies, JOBJACK checks their details against the employee list you’ve shared with us. If they’re on your list, they can continue with their application.
Why customers asked for it
Our customers have described it to us in different ways, but the same theme keeps coming up: They want to promote from within.
They already have the people. What they need is a way to put the role in front of all of them, so every eligible team member gets the same chance to put their hand up.
It comes from the right place: they want to hire and grow their own people, and they want it done openly.
They have clear steps in mind: team member to supervisor, and on to area or regional manager (ARM or RGM). Those moves matter most to the business, and they’re often the ones handled informally.
They hire direct, and they want internal roles handled in the same place as the rest of their recruitment, next to their store-level jobs.
They want more internal mobility. That means people moving into bigger roles and moving between sites when a vacancy opens somewhere else.
What changes for the person hiring
Your internal team sees the same vacancy at the same time. Nobody finds out because they happened to be in the right chat. And when someone does get the role, the rest of the team can see it was open and anyone could apply.
The people applying already know your systems, your team and how your stores run. You’re talking to someone who knows how a shift works, not starting from scratch.
Applications sit in one place, instead of across inboxes, group chats and conversations in the back office. Your internal roles and your store-level jobs are managed side by side.
If no internal candidate is right, you can convert the same role into a public job and keep looking outside.
With Internal Jobs, your internal and external hiring now run in one place, so every in-store promotion, from crew trainer to floor supervisor and shift leader, goes through JOBJACK.
Growth matters to people who are already workingTitle
In our 2026 Job Seeker Report, we got more than 5,000 survey responses. Of the people who said they were employed, 74.3% picked growth as a factor when deciding whether to accept a job. So people who already have work are weighing where it can take them. If the next step is inside your business, they need to be able to see it. Internal Jobs puts the vacancy in front of every internal employee, so a move up, or across to another site, is visible, open apply for.
